Key Trends from the 2025 Jury
Internationally acclaimed designer Dick Spierenburg, a dedicated jury member since the Award’s inception, commended this year’s exceptional submissions: “I saw the use of bio-based ingredients leading to safer materials. Time, material and energy-saving solutions in mounting components. Safer control systems thanks to AI technology. Innovative, invisible functions in traditional products like mattresses.”
This year’s winners highlight three major industry shifts:

- User-Centric Innovation: Tool-free assembly and collaborative design tools streamline production and enhance user experience.
Sascha Peters, European material expert and ambassador for the Red Dot Design Award, observes, “The furniture production and interior design industry is currently undergoing a major transformation towards a functioning circular economy and is aligning its corporate philosophy by redesigning its products.”
