K-Pop Music Promoter Paul “Pooh” Lunt Launches New Music Label in the Philippines Manila

International music promoter and entrepreneur Paul “Pooh” Lunt, best known for his role in propelling Psy’s “Gangnam Style” to global success, is making his next big move in the music industry. On March 31, 2025, Lunt will officially launch Popolo Music Group (PMG) his new music label and concert promotion company in the Philippines, aiming to transform the country into the next major hub for global music talent.

Lunt, who first found success as a special event caterer under his Chef Paul and Chef Pooh monikers, became a music industry powerhouse in 2012 when he became one of the several partnered promoters to YG Entertainment to promote Psy’s viral hit. Gangnam Style became the first video in history to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube on December 21, 2012, turning Lunt and his partners into overnight millionaires. The track remains one of the most-watched YouTube videos of all time, with over 5.4 billion views as of January 2025.

With his latest venture, Lunt is banking on the Philippines’ large English-speaking demographic and its growing influence in the global entertainment scene. Backed by several major financial organizations and with involvement from prominent American artists, he is poised to become the most influential music executive in the Philippines.
